Life Connections Inc. has developed The
–D-A-S-H- Juvenile Court Diversion Program which provides first time youthful offenders between the ages of 12 and 16 with an educational experience. The program educates these teens and their families about their offense, and how it affects them personally, as well as their family and their community. The program will also inform the business and school communities, as to the benefits of an court diversion program used as an alternative or addition to incarceration and/or community service. The –D-A-S-H-
program provides an outlet for identifying the causes of such behaviors and reaching a common resolution to redirect such behavior toward positive activities.
Goal: Shift the Perception
-D-A-S-H- is a program that wants young people and their elders to self-evaluate who they want to be independently, as a
family, and as a community member. The
–D-A-S-H-
further represents that time in which we will live our lives. Teens with their families are asked to look closely at who they want to be and how they want to be remembered during their
–D-A-S-H-
on earth.
Parents/Guardians must attend with their children.
This mission of –D-A-S-H- is to help youth develop their lives, through self-discipline, self-evaluation and encouraging
a shift of how they look at themselves in relationship to others.
Communication between parent and child is a must.
